Officer received a call of a lost dog.  Shortly after receiving the call, a city worker called it in, in the 100 Block of Maple Ridge.  Officer called the owner back and left a message for them to respond to the area.

Officer sent a follow up email to a Madrid resident, who made a complaint over the Labor Day Celebration, of an ATV riding on Highway 210/17.  Officer did an investigation and found it to be staff needing to go to Casey’s to get items for vendors downtown.  The subject was addressed in the open council meeting about the subject as well, but the Officer followed up with the complainant, after she sent another email asking why her complaint did not make the blotter.

Officer spoke to a Madrid resident on Southern Prairie Drive, reference issues he is having with the neighbor’s dog, trying to jump the fence, to get into his back yard, where he has two small dogs.

Officer received a request for a copy of an accident report from an insurance company representing one of the drivers. Officer mailed the report after receiving payment.

Officer did a back-ground check on a county resident, just outside city limits, for a Federal Investigator.

Officer responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the 600 block of South Green Street.  Officer arrested Kevin Johns for domestic assault.

Officer returned a call to a Madrid resident who returned home from vacation, to find his water shut off.  The City posted the wrong residence and turned off the water.  Officer called a City water employee who went out and turned the water back on for the resident.


Officer followed-up on a domestic arrest from the previous night.

Officer was called to the alley behind VFW for a utility pole that just fell.  Officer called out City Works to place barricades up to block the alley and 3rd Street.  Officer had dispatch contact Alliant Energy, phone, and cable companies to advise them.

Officer assisted Madrid Fire/Rescue on a medical call in the 400 Block of North Water Street.

Officer assisted Madrid Fire/Rescue and Boone County Ambulance, with a lift assist on a medical call, in the 500 Block of Milwaukee Street.


Officer spoke to a Story County DHS worker reference a past Madrid resident.  Officer forwarded her past calls for service dealing with the subject.

Officer spoke to a Madrid mother reference her 14-year-old daughter drinking at her dad’s house this past weekend.  Officer gave her the number for the Boone Police Department to speak with them on the issue.

Officer spoke to a Madrid resident reference a scooter that he bought and then found the title was from 2011.  Officer explained the options to have the title brought up to date to license.

Officer assisted a young man with a flat tire on his bike at the library.  It was determined that the tube had been popped and was not able to be fixed there, so the Officer loaded the bike and young man up and took him home.

Officer responded to the 600 block Maverick lane for a juvenile having mental health issues.  Assisted EMS.  Juvenile referred to Blank Children’s Hospital.


Officer assisted a Madrid High School student, with giving them a ride from the elementary school to the high school, after missing the bus, due to over-sleeping.

Officer met with the Public Works Director, and made plans to change locations and add both stop and yield signs, throughout the City.

Officer spoke to the owner of the Laundromat, who had video of juveniles committing a theft, over the Labor Day Celebration.  Officer was able to identify the subjects off of the video.  Theft charges are pending in this case.

Officer returned a phone call, to a Madrid resident, after they left a message with City Hall Staff.

Officer took a report of a vehicle driving too fast through a residential neighborhood. Officer was unable to locate the described vehicle.


Officer and City Officials tested the new Emergency Siren.

Officer followed up on a theft from the Madrid Laundromat.

Officer spoke to a Madrid resident, reference a possible theft.


Officer received a call about a neighborhood issue that is ongoing.

Officer performed a traffic stop Hwy 210 and County Line Road. Driver was warned for the infraction.


Officer responded to a down power line on fire in the 600 Block of West 5th.  Assisted Fire Department and Power company called.

Officer responded to a vehicle unlock at the Madrid Home

Officer responded to a report of vandalism (T-Ping).  Homeowner found who had done it prior to arrival and did not want to pursue investigation.

Officer received a call of two dogs got away from home.

Officer received a call about a suspicious vehicle, Officer checked vehicle everything ok
