Officer met with a subject that was in a bike accident last night and returned his bike.

Officer spoke to a Madrid resident who reported last night around 8PM, he was riding his bike and he was clipped by a car driving by.  He reported the vehicle never stopped.

Officer was called to Dollar General for a vehicle unlock.

Officer was contacted by a Boone County Deputy who had a motorcycle elude him on Highway 17 Southbound.  Officer attempted to locate the bike but was unable to.

Officer responded to 917 S. Kennedy Ave. #42 reference an assault. A Jacob Roby of Boone was arrested for brandishing a knife and a crow bar during an altercation at the residence. Roby also threatened to kill occupants of the residence. Roby was charged with an aggravated misdemeanor assault and transported to the Boone County Jail to be held.


Report of possible vandalism done to city property at the corner of Water and Second Streets.  Officer responded to took photos of damaged planter

Officer was advised of a wounded kitten that was taken in by employees of Wilcox Publishing.  Officer contacted Boone Co. Humane Society to pick up.

Officer spoke to a resident that had concerns about a family member.

Officer received video of a previous complaint of possible vandalism for follow up.

Officer was dispatched to the area of N Kennedy and East North Street reference a car alarm sounding.  Officer was unable to locate any alarm in the area.

Officer found a large pile of broken glass and debris in the roadway at Southern Prairie Dr. and S. Kennedy Ave.  Officer, along with Dollar General staff and a resident whom provided a broom, removed the debris and swept the roadway.


Officer returned a phone call to a resident from the 100 block of E 22nd Street.  Resident wanted to report suspicious person/activity.

Officer responded to 100 block of E. Ninth Street to check on persons that were around a vacant house.  Persons were the drywall contractors.

Officer received a call of an open door to a residence.  Officer cleared the residence with no one found inside.  Nothing appeared out of place and may have resulted from the wind blowing the door open.

Officer responded to a suspicious person call in the area of 900 block of S. Kennedy.  The subject was reported to be knocking on doors and leaving. Officer retrieved a bicycle possibly left behind by the subject.

Officer took a complaint of harassment in the 200 block of S. Greene Street.

Officer followed up with video evidence of a flower pot being struck by a vehicle in the 200 block of S. Water Street.  Officer made contact with the driver whom struck the pot while turning around.  The subject agreed to pay for the damage to the pot.

Officer spoke to several subjects whom were parked at a closed business.  It was determined they were playing Pokemon.  Everything checked OK.


Officer returned call to a resident with questions about internet and phone outages.

Officer spoke to a resident about a trespass order that is in effect.

Officer responded to a suspicious person downtown. Officer spoke with the male and determined him to be OK.

Officer responded to the Meadow Estates reference a 3 year-old in the park without supervision. Officer located the young lady’s trailer and spoke with her parents.

Officer returned a call to a Madrid resident reference questions he had about a traffic citation he received last night in Boone.

Officer took a report of an assault that occurred at the library. Both the victim and suspect are 14 years old. Officer will work with the school to determine all parties involved and get a plan in place.

Officer responded to a local business after a burglar alarm sounded. Officer checked and secured the building since the owner was unable to do so.


Office responded to a residence in the 300 block of N. Water to take a report of a missing child.  Child returned home prior to arrival.

Officer spoke with residents at the PD about a Hwy detour sign that was in another resident’s yard.

Officer responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on E. 1st Street. Officer made contact with the occupant and determined them to be OK.

Officer responded to the Meadow Estates to speak with a male regarding a civil family issue.

Officer responded to the Pancho Villa restaurant reference a juvenile consuming another patron’s alcoholic beverage. The young woman’s parent was contacted and she was turned over to them with a warning.


Officer responded to an alarm at the Historical Society.  It was determined to be a false alarm.

Officer assisted Boone County Deputies with an OWI arrest just outside of the city limits.


Officer received report of a reckless driver Southbound on Hwy 17.  Officer checked the area but did not locate.

Officer spoke to a resident who had questions about a warrant.

Officer spoke to a elementary school staff about a bicycle that had been left at the school.

Officer spoke to a resident that reported persons driving through his yard in the 700 block of E. First Street.  No damage was done to the property.

Officer responded to a report of a reckless driver near 6th and State Streets. Officer located the vehicle and cited a Lucas Braadland of Pleasant Hill with careless driving. The driver and passenger were also issued several other warnings.

Officer responded to the 500 block of W. 5th Street regarding a neighbor dispute.


Officer was dispatched to a minor vehicle collision in the parking lot of the E-Free Church.  Information was exchanged between vehicle owners.

Officer spoke to a subject whom passed along information regarding a suspicious vehicle in town over the past weekend.

Officer was notified of a theft that occurred at a local business.  Officer will make contact with the victim to begin an investigation.

Officer was called to a noise complaint in the 600 block of W. 5th street.  The subject agreed to turn down music that was playing. 


Officer was notified of a subject whom was making suicidal threats.  Officer made contact with a family member whom was aware of the situation and currently transporting the subject to Des Moines for assistance.

Officer fingerprinted a subject for a job-related background check.

Officer was notified of a vehicle parked in the post office lot that did not belong there.  Officer made contact with the owner whom stated the car would be removed shortly.

Officer was notified by a utility company regarding a welfare check on a property in town.  Officer made contact with the subject and everything checked O.K.

Officer spoke to a subject regarding an outage for cell service and internet service.  Officer also answered questions regarding a nuisance groundhog seen in their neighborhood.


Officer spoke with a resident about disposal of old medications.

Officer spoke to a Madrid resident reference an IRS scam.  She gave no personal information.

Officer spoke to two neighbors on West 5th Street reference an issue dealing with dogs being allowed to trespass on property and an animal deterrent device put in place to stop it.


Officer finger printed a Madrid government employee, for a job-related back ground check.

Officer arrested Violanda Stamper on a valid warrant from the Boone Police Department for theft.  Officer transported the subject to Dick Sissel Park at the Highway 30 and 17 intersection, and turned her over to a Boone PD Officer.

Officer followed up on two vehicles in the City limits, that the owner had been spoken to about them falling under the junk vehicle ordinance.  Both vehicles had been removed.

Officer received a complaint of a trailer being parked on the roadway, in the 800 Block of East 1st, for an extended period of time.  Officer spoke to the owner who stated that she would have it moved tonight when she got help.

Officer spoke to a Madrid resident reference a possible scam on Facebook.  She was contacted and gave a number in reference to a grant application.  The account it was sent from was hacked.  The officer traced the number to a cell phone in Pennsylvania.  Officer reminds all Madrid residents to never give out any personal information to people calling or messaging you.

Officer was dispatched to the 200 Block of North Main Street for a missing juvenile.  The young man was located on a school bus and dropped off at a relative’s house.

Officer assisted Madrid Fire/Rescue on a medical call at the Cedars.


Officer was dispatched to an emergency medical call at Madrid Clinic.

Officer assisted Madrid Street Department with moving a car on Cedar Street for tree service work.

Officer spoke to a Madrid resident reference extra patrol at his house due to medical issues.

Officer spoke to a Madrid resident reference a civil issue dealing with property.  Officer called the other half of the situation and hopefully worked out a conclusion that both are happy with.

Officer assisted Madrid Fire/Rescue on an emergency medical call in the 300 Block of North Locust Street.

Officer received a complaint in the 100 Block of North Union Street of a yard that has not been mowed.  Officer left a business card in the door to correct the infraction before the end of the weekend.

Officer received a complaint of a junk vehicle in the 300 Block of West 1st Street.  Officer left a business card in the owner’s door to have it removed.

Officer received a call that the vehicle in the previous entry was promptly removed.

Officer performed a funeral procession.

Officer received a phone call reference a civil court order regarding child custody and an on-going Police and DHS investigation. Officer answered her questions and referred her to DHS for follow up.


Officer received a report of a car squealing tires downtown.  Officer advised dispatch that the truck pull was going on and everything was OK.

Officer took a theft report from the truck pull.  A vehicle was entered and ID, debit card, and cash was taken.  The ID and debit card were located and returned to the owner.

Officer delivered council packets for the upcoming meeting.

Officer spoke with a subject regarding a family issue.

Officer took a report of a runaway teen near Maple Ridge. The teen returned home.
