Officer met with a subject about an on-going Madrid criminal case.
Officer started (2) insufficient check cases for the Market of Madrid.
Officer checked on a local business that reported possible damage to a lock that could be consistent with someone trying to get in. Officer looked at the mark and thought it to be old. Officer will give the area extra patrol.
Officer received a call from a past Madrid resident that lived on Milwaukee Street. He reported that he left property in a storage unit in his apartment to be picked up. The property was gone when the subject arrived. Officer located all the property from two neighbors and returned it to the storage unit to be picked up.
Officer followed up on a trespassing case after receiving new information. The subject was found not to be involved with the case.
Officer performed a traffic stop at Highway 210 and 17 and warned the driver for driving with no headlights after dark.
Officer spoke with Madrid High School Staff about a few issues.
Officer received a call of a vehicle that had parked on the new concrete downtown. Officer contacted the owner and had it moved. The concrete company owner looked and found no damage.
Officer was dispatched to assist Story County Sheriff’s Office regarding a hit and run that occurred near in Slater. Officer located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. Officer forwarded the vehicle and driver info to Story County for their investigation and report.
Officer was dispatched to a grill fire in the 600 block of Maverick Lane. The homeowners had the fire under control prior to officer arrival. No damage to property apart from a few hamburgers.
Officer was dispatched regarding fraudulent activity with credit card transactions. Officer followed up with the business where the charges were made and completed a report for the complainant for their bank’s fraud department.
Officer followed up with Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation regarding a previous incident.
Officer was called to assist Boone Deputies reference a call of an out of control juvenile in the county.
Officer followed up on a past case where damage was done to City property.
Officer received a complaint from a postal carrier of a subject following her and taking pictures of her. Officer located the subject and spoke to him about the incident and gave him a harassment warning.
Officer was called to the 400 Block of Fairview Drive for a case follow-up.
Officer met with a DCI Agent and exchanged information on a felony theft case, that occurred in Madrid, that charges are getting ready to be filed on.
Officer followed up at 917 South Kennedy on an on-going case.
Officer responded to Jonathon Drive reference a sign left in their garage overnight. The sign belonged to the High School and was returned.
Officer was dispatched to a suspicious person walking around the 600 Block of Maverick Lane. Officer made contact with the subject who stated that he was looking for a friend’s house.
Officer followed up with a subject in the 600 Block of Maverick Lane, from a call last night.
Officer spoke with a female reference a family issue.
Officer took a report of very young girls riding their bikes without adult supervision. Officer located the girls, followed them home and spoke with their mother regarding the complaint.
Officer assisted parents with retrieving a runaway male from a friend’s house.
Officer took a report of a missing scooter that was last seen being used by the subject’s friend. Officer will make contact with the juvenile to return the scooter.
Officer spoke to an out of town subject regarding harassment. Officer advised and provided their local police departments phone number for a report.
Officer spoke to a subject regarding a civil issue of a bicycle.
Officer assisted Madrid Rescue and Boone Co. Ambulance with a medical call in the 100 block of S. Cedar St.
Officer attempted to call a subject in Cedar Rapids after they reported to the dispatch center that they wanted to file an assault complaint with a Madrid Officer. The Officer called, but no answer and no return call was received. The department will keep the case open to allow the victim more time to decide if they wish to file a report.
