10/29/18

Officer spoke to a Madrid resident, reference things moved in her yard, in the 500 Block of South State Street.  Officer will collect evidence and see if there are any charges that apply to the case.

Officer attended a court hearing, at the Boone County Courthouse, after receiving a subpoena on a civil case.

Officer met with a tech and had all the radar units, in the vehicles, calibrated.

Officer picked up a lost/found bike that was reported by a home owner in the 100 Block of West 1st Street. Officer took the bike to the City Shed for storage.

Officer assisted a stalled vehicle at Casey’s.  Officer jumped the battery for the subject and followed them to CarQuest for assistance.

10/30/18

Officer assisted Madrid Fire/Rescue on an emergency medical call in the 100 Block of South County Line Rd.  Call was in the county but the deputies were out of position.

Officer filled a records request for a Madrid resident dealing with calls for service for a day in October.

Officer received a call of a stolen bike in the 500 Block of West 1st Street.

Officer filled a records request for an out of town subject requesting a video.

Officer gave direction to an out of town subject that was lost in town.

Officer performed a vehicle unlock in the 200 Block of East 8th Street.

Officer spoke with a staff member from Ankeny Schools, reference questions on a past case from 2006.

Officer received a call of a stolen bike from the 600 Block of Maverick Lane.

Officer was dispatched to 6th and South Kennedy for kids crossing the road unsafely.  Officer spoke to a group of kids and gave them a safety speech.

Officer performed a vehicle unlock at Casey’s.

10/31/18

Officer was called to the Madrid Elementary School to give a safety speech to a student, after he was saw crossing Highway 17 in an unsafe fashion. Officer and staff came up with a safety plan that the student agreed to follow.

Officer performed a vehicle unlock at Dollar General.

Officer assisted Madrid Fire/Rescue on a medical call in the 400 Block of West 1st Street.

Officer assisted Madrid Fire/Rescue on an emergency medical call at the Madrid Home.

Officer spoke to a Madrid resident who wanted to report harassment at her job in West Des Moines.  Officer informed her that any complaint needed to be made with that department.

Officer located and returned a stolen bike to a Madrid resident in the 600 Block of Maverick Lane.

11/01/18

Officer assisted Madrid Fire/Rescue on an emergency medical call in the 400 Block of East 1st Street.

Officer was called to a residence in the 600 Block of West 4th Street for a smoke alarm not working properly. Officer switched the battery for the elderly female.

Officer performed a vehicle unlock at Madrid Market.

Officer spoke to a suspect in a stole bike case that was located after getting more information about him trespassing on a property.  Officer will pass on the information to his parole officer.

Officer was dispatched to the 200 Block of South Greene Street for an 8-year-old arguing with his elderly grandma.  The two had settled down upon the Officers arrival.

Officer responded to a verbal altercation at Green Street apartments. Officer spoke to a young man arguing with his grandma.

Officer responded to a business alarm.  Everything checked out OK.

11/02/18

Officer assisted with a funeral procession.

Officer met with owners of Madrid Automotive reference a bad check case.

11/03/18

Officer removed construction debris from the roadway.

Officer was called to a local downtown business and spoke to the owner about an issue. 

11/04/18

Officer was dispatched to Jonathan Drive for an assault.  Victim was a process server who did not want to file charges.

Officer assisted a Madrid resident in the 100 Block of West 22nd Street get in her home after she accidently locked herself out.
