Officer received a call from 8th and Madison complaining of two lengthy parked vehicles parked on the roadway. Officer tagged both vehicles for lengthy parking.
Officer spoke to school administration reference an issue they had at an out of town game this past weekend.
Officer stopped a vehicle on E. North Street. The driver was warned for improper lamps and also given directions back to Des Moines as they were lost.
Officer stopped to talk to several subjects parked at a business after hours. It was determined a vehicle was left in the parking lot earlier in the day and they returned to retrieve it. Everything checked OK.
Officer was notified of a lost/found bike in the 100 Block of East 9th. Officer picked up the bike. Bike can be claimed at the police department.
Officer was notified by High School Staff, of a fire alarm drill. Officer assisted in the safety exercise.
Officer received a records request from a federal background company. Officer filled the request and faxed it back.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 Block of Washington Street. Caller’s son was scammed by an IRS phone call and sent $200 to a Google account. REMINDER: The IRS will never call you on the phone. If you receive one, it is a scam.
Officer was dispatched to a holdup/panic alarm at City State Bank. Turned out to be a false alarm.
Officer responded to a minor traffic collision on Annex Rd. Officer provided both drivers with an information exchange.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of S. State street reference an open door to a residence. Officer cleared the residence for the homeowner. No items were reported missing or moved.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 Block of Maverick Lane for a vehicle unlock.
Officer assisted elementary school staff with a safety drill.
Officer assisted with a safety speech at the Fire Station, with the Tiger Tots preschool children.
Officer assisted Madrid High school staff with a safety drill.
Officer spoke to high school staff about an issue dealing with a social media post.
Officer spoke to a subject regarding a protected party of a no contact order and the subject potentially violating the order. Officer contacted County Attorney Office for assistance with the ongoing case. The County Attorney stated he did not want to jump into this with the Madrid Police, made accusations of officer making rude comments to him and for us to put it in writing instead of calling him for assistance with Madrid Police cases. Officer advised the victim whom then requested a report of the incident. Officer provided the information to the victim.
Officer responded to a medical call in the 200 block of Peterson Pkwy.
Officer met with the City Attorney and went over information on cases and record requests.
Officer assisted with a safety class for the Lily Pad Preschool kids at the Madrid Fire Department.
Officer taught a fire safety class at Lily Pad with Madrid Fire Rescue.
Officer taught a safety class at Tiger Tots with Madrid Fire/Rescue.
