Officer assisted Boone County deputies with a missing/runaway juvenile case as they had no officers in the area.  A mother called in to report that her 14-year-old daughter was located in a parked vehicle with an adult male at the Highway 210 gravel pit.  A Madrid officer responded and handled the initial investigation.

Officer performed a welfare check on a 3-year-old in the 700 block of W. North St.  Child found to be OK and the officer reported the findings to the caller/mother.

Officer sent up a case file for the County Attorney to review and recommend charges.  Officers worked with a Polk County detective on this case as well and she sent her case file for both the Polk and Dallas County Attorney to review for charges.

Officer filled a records request for a Madrid resident reference a case that she reported back in August of this year.

Officer spoke to a Madrid resident who reported a lost set of keys on the bike trail this morning while out on his ride.  If anyone located, please turn then into the Madrid Police Department.

Officer spoke to a Madrid resident who reported a phone scam that was left on his voicemail.

Officer relocated a raccoon to the City water plant that was caught in a live trap by a Madrid resident on North Main Street.

Officer responded to the 500 block of South Main for a harassment complaint.  Subject spoken to per caller’s request regarding shining a green laser into caller’s window. 


Officer assisted Madrid rescue on an emergency medical call in the 400 Block of East 9th Street.

Officer followed up on a junk vehicle on County Line Road that the owner had been contacted about.  The owner had the vehicle removed over the weekend.

Officer did a home check with the elementary school principal on a student that was suspended from school.

Officer removed (2) unwanted raccoons from inside a property in the 400 Block of North Main Street for the owner.

Officer assisted a Madrid business owner with removing a bat that she located in her office.  Officer also assisted with removing a mouse from a trap and resetting it for her.

Officer responded to the 600 block of Brodie for a welfare check.  Juvenile could not locate or contact her mother.  Family contacted and picked up juvenile.  Mother eventually returned home late from work.


Officer spoke to a subject reference a child custody issue.

Officer started an investigation on unauthorized spending out of a Madrid residents bank account. Officer called a company where there were 6 transactions and received information, along with driving to Ames to Menards for another one.  Officer was given the name of a juvenile suspect.  Officer will interview her and see what information can be received before going the route of a subpoena for the information from the company.

Officer was called to Git N Go for a suspicious person in a vehicle.  Officer made contact with Tyler Ollerich.  It was found that the subject had a barred license through the State of Iowa so the male was placed under arrest for this crime.  Further investigation located drugs and drug paraphernalia.  Additional charges of possession of a controlled substance 3rd offense and possession of drug paraphernalia were added.

Officer removed a 4th raccoon this week from a residence in the 400 Block of North Main Street.

Officer gave a Madrid resident a ride to Git N Go from the 100 block of East 9th Street to pick up a vehicle after the driver was arrested. 


Officer unlocked a vehicle in the 400 block of S. Main St.

Officer responded to a report of suspicious items left in a yard in the 700 block of E. 6th St.

Officer responded to the scene of an unattended death in a residence on Fairview Dr.


Officer spoke to a resident in reference to a neighbor cleaning up debris.

Officer responded to a residence in the 500 block of W. First Street for a 911 hang-up call.  Officer found it to be kids playing with the phone.  All involved were advised not to do it again.

Officer assisted Madrid EMS/Boone Co. Ambulance with an emergent medical call in the 900 block of S. Kennedy.

Officer assisted BCSO on a traffic stop involving an erratic driver.


Officer assisted Madrid EMS/Boone Co. Ambulance on an emergent medical call in the 400 block of Gerald Street.
