05/06/19

Officer followed up on two junk vehicles served on E 1st St. The owner had removed one of them over the weekend, and had received parts to fix the second one, which will be done soon.  Officer will follow back up to make sure that the work is done.

Officer followed up with a junk vehicle served last week that was supposed to be removed over the weekend on S Green St. The officer found that the vehicle had not been touched.  Officer mailed an official notice to have the vehicle removed or the owner will be fined.

Officer received a complaint of an Eagle Scout project getting damaged in front of Trail Side Rentals.  Officer was able to identify the subjects off of a video camera in the area.  Officer will locate the kids and speak to their parents.

Officer was dispatched to meet with a juvenile whom called reporting a possible assault in Madrid that was overheard in the background during online game play with other friends.  Officer made contact with the juvenile and family and determined there was no assault that took place.

Officer received a call reporting a missing dog from right outside the City.  Officers will be on the lookout.

 

05/07/19

Officer was called to Casey’s for a fake $50 bill that they had received.  A subject was identified off of the surveillance camera who passed it.  Officer will locate the subject and get more information.

Officer received a call back from the dog owner from just west of the City, that reported the dog had returned home.

Officer followed up on a criminal mischief report from last night.  Officer was able to return the damaged property to the owner.  Officer received a full confession from a Madrid juvenile in the case.  Officer will be assigning community service hours as punishment in the case.

Officer was dispatched to a medical call at the High School track.  The patient was transported to be evaluated.

Officer took possession of a small black dog from the west side of town and placed it in the city dog kennel pending owner identification.

 

05/08/19

Officer removed a junk vehicle, from a property in the 200 Block of S Main St, at the request of the owner.

Officer called the Boone Area Humane Society, to pick up a dog housed at the City Shed overnight, that was not claimed after it was picked up running at large.

Officer was called to the library for kids yelling and screaming.  Officer spoke to all the kids and worked out the issues between them all.  Officer warned the kids for climbing in the trees and yelling and screaming.

Officer spoke to a subject regarding receiving harassing emails.  Officer requested the emails forwarded to the Police Dept. for review. The reporting party requested a harassment warning to the offending party.

 

05/09/19

Officer was contacted reference a suspicious person on the east side of the elementary school.  Officer made contact with the male who was mushroom hunting.

Officer assisted DHS with a case in the City.

Officer spoke to an Ankeny detective reference an on-going case between the two departments.

Officer assisted a subject with a civil property case in the 600 Block of W 6th St.

Officer assisted with a medical call on E North St.

Officer responded to an out of control juvenile on E 21st St.

Officer took a report of a possible violation of a no contact order.

 

5/10/19

Officer responded to a possible road rage/ harassment call on W 2nd St.

Officer followed up on a domestic related call from the previous night.

Officer took a report from Git n Go reference a customer not paying for their fuel.

Officer took a report of a possible intoxicated driver, unable to locate.

 

5/11/19

Officer assisted Boone county deputies with a disabled vehicle just outside of city limits near Dollar General.

Officer followed up with the assault from the previous entry.

Officer responded to the Flat Tire bar reference an assault. The suspect fled immediately after the altercation however spoke with the investigating officer later that day. Charges for simple assault are pending.

 

5/12/19

Officer assisted Madrid Fire/Rescue with a non-emergent medical call in the 400 block of E Ninth St.

Officer received report of a Husky dog that was running at large on S State St. Officer checked area but was unable to locate.

Officer received report of a sexual abuse incident that occurred at an earlier date.  The incident is being investigated.

Officer cited a Logan Stripe of rural Madrid with a simple assault for his involvement in a bar fight at the Flat Tire.
