MPD Blotter July 9 – July 15, 2018



Officer was called to Edgewood Park by a city employee regarding two vehicles that have been parked in the grass lot for a couple of days.

Officer inspected a golf cart for the city license requirement.

Officer took a report of a suspicious truck in the 4 and 5 hundred blocks of S. Main area.  Officer followed up with information given regarding the vehicle and spoke to several neighbors stating they have all seen the vehicle in the area acting suspicious.  Officer will provide extra patrol in the area.

Officer followed up with a subject regarding a past theft report.

Officer spoke to a resident regarding a trespass issue on their property.

Officer took a report of a burglary to a local business.

Officer spoke to a resident regarding a prowler that was seen in the South side of town.


Officer assisted Madrid Fire/Rescue on an emergency medical call in the 900 Block of South Kennedy Ave.

Officer released an accident report to a business that had a vehicle damaged in an accident a couple of weeks ago, in the City.

Officer investigated several leads regarding a burglary previously reported.

Officer fingerprinted a subject for their employer.


Officer received a call from a Madrid resident in the 500 Block of West 1st Street.  He had stepped on a nail and needed some assistance.  Officer helped him and told him to call back if he needed an ambulance or further assistance.

Officer received a call of a lost dog.  With the assistance of others, the animal was located.  Officer contacted the owner to go and pick it up.

Officer was called to 22nd and Water for a pair of wild turkeys eating flowers.  Officer removed them from the property with the assistance of the owner.


Officer received a records request from a call in May of 2015.  Officer filled the request and will get it to the Madrid resident in a timely manner.


Officer spoke to a Madrid resident reference a civil issue dealing with a past boyfriend and property. 


Officer responded to a residence in the 800 block of E. 1st street reference a domestic situation. The male half was arrested and charged with domestic assault serious.  


Officer responded to Country View Trailer Park for mailboxes that had been struck by a vehicle and knocked down.

Officer responded to Madrid Car Wash for an overhead door that had been struck.  It was determined to have been done accidently.

Officer assisted Madrid Fire in the 600 block of Kingman with a faulty smoke detector.
