Officer assisted the Public Works Director with doing a back-ground check on an applicant.

Officer spoke to a Madrid resident who requested extra patrol around his residence for the weekend, while he is out of town for a funeral.

Officer was dispatched to a three-vehicle collision in the 900 block of S. Kennedy Ave.  No injuries were reported.  Matthew Dixon, of Luther, was cited for failure to stop in assured clear distance.


Officer received information from a Madrid resident of a lost dog on East North Street.  Officer assisted in looking for it.  Animal returned home.

Officer had a City budget meeting.

Officer finger printed a Madrid resident for a job related back-ground check.

Officer spoke to a Madrid resident about problems with her juvenile daughter.

Officer responded to a family dispute regarding a juvenile.  Officer advised all parties involved.

Officer requested a warrant for a subject regarding an ongoing investigation.


Officer provided a report to a subject involved in a prior vehicle collision.

Officer followed up with DHS reference several investigations regarding juveniles.


Officer requested to return a phone call in reference to an ongoing criminal/DHS case.

Officer responded to a motor vehicle accident on Kennedy & Maple Ridge Dr.  No injuries and accident report completed.

Officer responded to a domestic disturbance call on N. Water St. The Officer assisted in getting the situation calmed down and the parties separated for the night.

Officer returned to the previous address after another family member arrived at the home and requested police response. Again, the situation was diffused.


Officer met with DHS Case Worker about an ongoing case.

Officer responded to an apartment building downtown reference a broken water pipe in the basement. Officer located and turned off the water supply to the complex and relayed information to the out of town landlord.


Officer responded to assist medical personnel with a call on E. 8th St.

Officer attempt to locate an erratic driver headed north out of town but was too far behind to safely catch up to the vehicle. Another officer was able to stop it near Luther and determined the driver was tired.

Officer took a call from a woman in Des Moines requesting I locate and check welfare of her 21-year-old daughter who was possibly in Madrid. Reportedly her daughter met a gentleman from Madrid on the “” dating website and she was possibly with the man in town. The officer located a name and address for the man and made contact with the woman who was determined to be ok. She was promptly returned to Des Moines by the male.  


Officer received report of a German Shepherd dog running at large in the of State and Second St.  Officer checked the area but was unable to locate.

Officer received a request from Dallas Co. Sheriff Office to attempt to locate a vehicle in Madrid for a case they were working on.
