02/25/18

Officer spoke to Madrid residents reference moving their vehicles off the roadway for snow removal.

Officer spoke to an attorney on an up-coming civil court case and received a subpoena to testify in it.

Officer met with Staff at the Post Office who turned over a found wallet.  Officer attempted to make contact with the owner several times.  Officer will locate the owner and get it returned.

Officer was dispatched to an incomplete 911 call in the 300 Block of South State Street.  Checked out OK, kids were playing with the phone.

Officer met with a Detective from Clive PD and exchanged information on a past case.

Officer forwarded a past report on a case to the victim’s assistance office.

Officer was dispatched to call in the office for information.  Officer was informed of a wanted subject that was supposed to be staying in Madrid.  Officer along with (3) Boone County Deputy’s located the wanted male in the 400 Block of North Union Street and placed him under arrest. Subject taken into custody was Eric Butterfield.  Subject had two valid warrants, one for escape from custody and the other was for parole violation with the original charge being felony sex offenses. 

Officer assisted Madrid Fire/Rescue on a medical call in the 100 Block of East 1st Street.

Officer fulfilled a records request for a subject. 

Officer received a call from an out of town subject whom received a phone call from a child in Madrid asking about a parent then hanging up the phone.  Officer made contact with the child whom dialed the wrong number.  Everything checked OK.

 

02/26/19

Officer assisted Madrid Fire with a carbon monoxide issue at the Madrid Home.

Officer was called to the 600 Block of Maverick Lane for a suicidal subject.  Subject was transported to Boone County Hospital.

Officer assisted Boone County Sheriff’s Office with giving a tow truck traffic control, a mile North of city limits, on Highway 17, while they removed a vehicle from the ditch.

Officer was called to a residence after a Madrid homeowner locked themselves out.  A neighbor helped the owner with getting in and changing the locks.

Officer was called to the VFW for a subject that had entered the business and left a bunch of garbage in the bathroom.  Officer looked at the items and threw them away after finding nothing illegal.

Officer attempted to drop off a lost/found wallet to the owner but still could not find them at home.  Officer left a business card on the door to contact them.

Officer spoke to a Madrid resident reference a phone scam.

Officer received a call from a female resident whom was unable to clear the snow around her doors and driveway to get to the doctor after the snowstorm.  Officer notified Madrid Fire/Rescue whom assisted Officer with shoveling the property for the resident. 

Officer received information regarding an unlicensed driver seen driving around town.  Officer will follow up with the information.

 

02/27/19

Officer assisted a Madrid resident on QW Lane with a vehicle unlock, so their kids could get to school.

Officer did a walk through the high school and spoke to staff.

Officer performed a funeral procession for vehicles through town.

Officer followed up on a lengthy parked vehicle in Veteran’s Square.  Officer left a business card for the owner to contact the PD.

Officer assisted Madrid Fire/Rescue on a medical call in the 400 Block of North Main Street.

Officer stopped a vehicle in the 200 block of 2nd Street for snow covering all of the rear lamps on the vehicle as well as the registration.  Officer warned the driver and cleared the snow from the rear of the vehicle for her to continue on safely.

Officer stopped a vehicle in the 600 block of W. North Street.  The driver was warned for improper rear lamps on the vehicle.

 

02/28/19

Officer attended a court hearing after receiving a subpoena for a civil case.

Officer spoke to the owner of a lost/found wallet and set up a time for them to stop at the PD to claim.

Officer spoke to the owner of a lengthy parked vehicle in Veteran’s Square.  He stated that he has a friend coming on Friday to help him remove it.

 

03/01/19

Officer assisted a Madrid resident with a stalled vehicle in the business district downtown.

Officer met with a postal carrier, who turned in a lost/found set of vehicle keys.

Officer finger printed a postal employee for a job-related background check.

Officer spoke to Elmquist Towing reference a vehicle that they impounded from Meadow Estates per Park Management.

Officer performed traffic stop on 2nd and Cedar. Driver was warned for faulty brake lights and advised she had received a complaint for swerving while driving into town.

Officer performed traffic stop on 6th and Main. Driver was advised of headlight out.

Officer walked through the Madrid Senior High formal dance. All was good.

Officer investigated gas drive off at Casey’s.

Officer assisted a truck stuck in the snow on Highway 17. 


03/02/19

Officer took report of 2 dogs at large near Edgewood, Officer was unable to locate

Officer did welfare check on stranded motorist.

 

03/03/19

Officer assisted Madrid Fire/Rescue with a report of smoke detectors going off in the 200 block of Maple Ridge Drive.

Officer assisted Madrid Fire/Rescue with an emergent medical call at The Cedars.
