04/20/20

Officer spoke to a Madrid resident reference civil issues he was having with his ex, dealing with child custody issues and exchanges.

Officer spoke to a Madrid resident reference information on the operation of golf carts in the city.

Officer sent up paperwork for a felony theft warrant to be issued in a case of a stolen vehicle.  The vehicle was recovered and one felony arrest had already been made.

Officer responded to the 600 block of South Market for a suspicious vehicle traveling around in the area.  Officer responded to the area and was unable to locate any vehicles.

Officer was called out for a suspicious vehicle trying to get into vehicles on North Main Street.  A vehicle description was given and the owner and his friends are known to Madrid police. 

04/21/20

Officer received information reference a subject that is wanted in connection to a theft in Ames, that was posted on social media.  The caller stated that the same male was seen in town this weekend taking pictures of other equipment. Officer passed the information on to the owner of the stolen truck.

Officer spoke to a Madrid resident reference a question about a carry permit.  Officer forwarded her to the Sheriff’s Office. 

04/23/20

Officer responded to the 300 Block of East North Street for a welfare check.  Resident was home and well.

Officer responded to the 600 Block of Maverick Lane for a welfare check.  Resident was not home.

Officer dispatched to 700 block of State St for a suspicious vehicle.  

04/24/20

Officer responded to the 500 block of Milwaukee for a civil standby.  No disturbances occurred.

Officer responded to the 600 block of Maverick Lane for a possible harassment complaint.  Officer spoke to caller.  No harassment occurred.

Officer responded to the 600 block of East 2nd for a neighbor complaint.  Officer spoke to resident about neighbor kids throwing rocks towards their house.  Reporting party did not want the issue addressed but to make the police department aware of the activity.

Officer met with a representative of Unity Point to have the department AEDs serviced.

Officer dispatched to the 600 block of Maverick LN for a disturbance. One male arrested for disorderly conduct

Officer dispatched to Hwy 17 for a report of a vehicle coming through town that had been shooting firearms out of the vehicle. Officer stopped the vehicle and performed a search of the persons and vehicle. No firearms found and no smell of spent rounds.

Officer performed a welfare check on subject at his apartment, subject was fine.

Officers dispatched to 502 Milwaukee for a domestic situation. Reports filed to county attorney 

4/26/20

Officer returned a call to a male reference a child custody issue.

Officer assisted a man with his oxygen machine on Kingman Blvd.
