MADRID POLICE BLOTTER
Officer was dispatched to a car in the ditch just South of town on Highway 17. Accident occurred in Polk County, when a wheel fell off of a vehicle traveling Northbound. Officer called for a tow and gave traffic control until the wrecker arrived.
Officer received a call from a Madrid resident who wanted her 17 year old daughter trespassed from her property due to threats. Officer called the County Attorney to get more info on this case due to the court hearing not being until April 23rd.
Officer spoke to several individuals regarding juveniles using an online chat forum. Officer advised.
Officer found an open door at a local business after hours. Officer did not find any forced entry or items out of place. Officer was able to secure the door.
Officer spoke to several individuals regarding suspicious activity at a residence where the homeowner was out of town. It was determined they were there dropping off the homeowner from vacation.
Officer followed up with a Boone County Deputy regarding a past sexual abuse case to share information.
Officer sent up paperwork for a warrant to be issued in a past violation of a no contact case.
Officer met with a subject whom turned in a lost/found kids bike from Edgewood Park.
Officers attended a joint training class at the Madrid Fire Department. The class was on harassment, discrimination, and hostile work environments in the work place.
Officer followed up with a past report of possible obscene material being shared via a chat forum.
Officer spoke with several people parked behind Git-N-Go. It was determined a female had a disagreement with her boyfriend previously and left the area with another subject, leaving her vehicle parked behind the store. The female sent her friends to retrieve the vehicle.
Officer did paperwork and sent up for a warrant for filing a false report on a stolen vehicle.
Officer assisted a Madrid resident with a lift assist in the 500 Block of Milwaukee Street.
Officer spoke to a Madrid resident reference junk vehicles being removed from his property.
Officer handled a minor accident in the 100 Block of Peterson Parkway.
Officer received a parking complaint at 1st and Main Street. Officer made contact with a salesman at Wilcox Printing and asked them to remove their vehicle off of Highway 210.
Officer assisted a resident on Jonathan dr. with a gas alarm until Madrid Fire Department could check the place out.
Officer advised 2 residents on broken stop lamps/turn signals.
Officer spoke with a male reference a child custody dispute.
Officer assisted medical with a call at the Cedars.
Officer assisted with a medical call on Peterson Parkway.
Officer assisted public works with clearing debris from the roadway and advising of downed trees in the streets that were too large to move without heavy equipment.
Officer responded to the 500 block of W. 1st street on a noise complaint. Officer advised the subject of the complaint and he agreed to be less disruptive to his neighbors.
Officer along with Madrid Fire/Rescue responded to a report of smoke inside a residence in the 200 block of E. 8th St. It was determined to be a faulty appliance and no damage to the home was noted. The resident was advised.
Officer unlocked a vehicle for a subject in the 600 block of West North Street.
Officer along with Madrid Fire/Rescue and Boone Hospital responded to a medical call in the 700 block of S. State Street.
Officer received a call of a dog bite in the city. Officer followed up with the victim’s family along with Boone Humane Society for investigation.
