MPD Blotter Apr 16-Apr 22, 2018



Officer met with a Madrid resident at the PD, who dropped off old medication for the drug drop off, due to her being out of town on the 28th.

Officer received a complaint from the Public Works Director reference a property along the trail that needed cleaned up.  Officer left a message on the out of town owners answering machine, asking for a call back.

Officer was notified of a vehicle repossession in the City.


Officer responded to Southern Prairie Dr. for a property damage traffic accident.

Officer assisted Madrid Rescue/Boone Co. Ambulance with a non-emergent medical call in the 500 block of Milwaukee Street.

Officer took report to lost keys.  Key ring had Toyota key and fob.  Ring also had a bottle opener in a leather case.  If found, please call the Madrid Police Dept.

Officer picked up a dog that was running at large in the 900 block of S. Kennedy.  Officer contacted owner and dog was returned.

Officer spoke to a subject regarding a claim of someone stalking her in Madrid.  There was no factual evidence to any claim of wrongdoing and officer advised.

Officer was notified of a pile of construction debris burning and unattended in the 300 block of S. Union.  Madrid Fire responded to extinguish the fire. Charges are pending on this case.


Officer followed up with several interviews regarding a past sexual assault case.

Officer spoke to the victim of a dog bite reported previously for information.

Officer took a report of identity theft/fraud from a resident.  The suspect resides in another state.  Officer will forward all information to the appropriate agency for follow up on the case.


Officer unlocked a vehicle for a customer at Casey’s.

Officer received report of a Boxer type (Bulldog) running at large in Edgewood Park.  Officer checked the area but was unable to locate.

Officer answered questions pertaining to Hwy 210 construction issues.

Officer answered questions pertaining to city water issues.

Officer stopped a car at 8th and Kennedy with suspicion of operating while intoxicated. The driver was simply sleep deprived and will try to get more rest before driving again.


Officer responded to W. North St.  and Madrid Home for a property damage accident.

Officer stopped a vehicle for expired registration and discovered that the driver was barred.  The driver, Steven Marzolf, of Madrid was arrested and transported to the Boone Co. Jail.  He was charged with driving while barred and expired registration.

Officer unlocked a vehicle for a customer at Casey’s.

Officer checked on a vehicle that broke down on Southern Prairie Drive.

Officer picked up and returned a lost dog.


Officer followed up with a subject regarding a past identity theft report.

Officer responded to a medical call in the 300 block of N. Locust St.

Officer assisted in locating a male who was lost in town.

Officer performed a vacation house check.

Officer attempted to locate a vehicle called in as a possible intoxicated driver. Vehicle never made it to town.


Officer responded to a residence in the 700 block of E. North Street for a civil stand-by.

Officer responded to storage units by the Flat Tire Lounge for vehicles that were blocking access to the storage units.  Officer located owners inside the lounge and all were moved.

Officer attempted to locate a reckless driver.  UTL

Officer responded to the 600 Block of west 4th for a stray dog.  Animal was detained to turned over to the Humane Society.

Officer responded to the 500 Block of Washington to provide lifting assistance to a disabled person
