Madrid’s annual Labor Day Celebration is held during Labor Day weekend each year. The festivities begin Friday evening with the opening of the beer tent and run through Monday morning with our concluding Labor Day parade and the Lion’s Club Chicken Dinner at Edgewood Park.
In addition to the parade and Lion’s Club Dinner, there are many family friendly activities, including free inflatables, a petting zoo, and fireworks throughout the weekend, as well as the renowned Madrid Car Show on Sunday.
Our Labor Day Committee is consists for the following volunteers who organize and plan this wonderful event:

The Labor Day meeting schedule is listed below. Meetings will be held the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the City Hall Boardroom. Additional meetings in July and August may be added as needed and will be posted on the madridiowa.org calendar.
