Officer met with a Madrid resident, who turned in a lost/found key from by the bike trail.

Officer assisted a Madrid resident with getting her spare apartment key back from her ex-boyfriend.  The male was also given a harassment warning at this time to quit calling and texting the female.

Officer spoke to a Madrid resident that received a scam phone call claiming to be the police department. The caller even stated that the PD’s phone number came up on caller ID.  Officer informed him that it was a scam.

Officer responded to a vehicle unlock at the Casey’s parking lot.  Vehicle was successfully unlocked.

Officer responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Kennedy and E. North Street.  Officer took report.  One driver was issued a citation for failure to yield.

Officer responded to a report of a careless driver in the area of the Madrid Elementary School.  Officer attempted to locate the vehicle.  UTL.

Officer responded to a report of an out of control juvenile in the 500 block of Milwaukee.  Officer processed with the juvenile and his mother.  The juvenile was de-escalated.

Officer responded to a report of a possible fight or domestic in progress at the County Line Trailer Court.  Officer made contact with the aggravated party.  Resident was yelling over the phone.  No fight occurred.


Officer was called to the County Line Trailer Park regarding a tenant stealing electricity from another trailer.  Landlord showed the officer pictures and gave information showing a cord was used to deliver power to a trailer without permission from the owner. This is the second time the landlord has reported this with the same suspect being named.  The landlord stated that he just wanted it to be known and that he had already spoke with the Boone County Attorney, the Boone County Sheriff and the Boone County Clerk of Court in reference to doing a writ and eviction on a tenant and just wants him to leave peacefully without having to file criminal charges. Officer also spoke to the suspect who stated that he was willing to leave and would try not to cause any issues.

Officer spoke to a female who picked up a dog by Dollar General.  While talking with her on the phone the owner pulled up and took control of the dog.

Officer was dispatched to an incomplete 911 from a resident at the Madrid Home.  Everything checked out OK.

Officer received a call from a resident of Meadow Estates.  She stated that there was a suspicious subject hiding under a tree by her property.  Officer located an employee working on trees in the area. Checked out OK.

Officer responded for mutual aid for BCSO for a motor vehicle accident on Hwy 17, 3 miles north of Madrid.  Officer assisted BCSO and EMS.


Officer responded to the 400 block of E 6th Street for a domestic disturbance.  Parties were separated for the evening.

Officer assisted a Madrid resident with relaying a message to City Hall staff.

Officer received a complaint of a vehicle driving fast and making bad passes on Highway 17.  Vehicle was through town before the officer was informed.  Officer passed the info onto a Boone County deputy.

Officer was dispatched to Dollar General for some suspicious activity.  Staff stated that four males attempted to purchase four $500 Visa gift cards.  When he started asking questions they left in a hurry.  A description of the males and the vehicle was put out for other Officers to attempt to locate the scammers.

Officer responded to a medical call in the 100 block of Peterson Pkwy.  Officer assisted EMS.


Officer received a phone call at the PD to come over to the Green Street apartments. When the officer arrived caller was not home.

Officer received a call of a suspicious person in the 500 block of S. Kennedy. Officer checked and people were ok.

Officer responded to a fire alarm at the 800 block of E 1st, false alarm

Officer returned a phone call to family members of a passed Madrid resident.

Officer responded to N. Locust St. reference a medical call assist.


Officer took a report of stolen bikes from a house in the 100 block of N. Main St.

Officer assisted a motorist with a flat tire at Git N Go.

Officer responded to a loose dog.  The officer was able to find the owner and return the dog.

Officer responded to a report of an attempted theft in the 700 block of E 1st.

Officer returned a phone call about an arrested subject.

Officer responded to the intersection of 3rd and Madison for a report of a car burglary in progress. Officer interview the suspects and determined they had permission to break into the vehicle to retrieve property.


Officer responded to a report of a reckless driver.

Officer received a call of a lost Jack Russell terrier.

Officer received a phone call of people trespassing on a Madrid Residents property.

Officer received a phone call requesting an accident report from 7-27-20

Officer performed a traffic stop in the 600 Block of S Kennedy for stopping on a roadway.


Officer was dispatched to Hwy 17 for a possible drunk/tired driver heading southbound. Officer was unable to locate the vehicle.
